Job Description
This Senior Software Engineer will play a critical role in building the consumer face of the Smart Grid that will revolutionize our use of electricity and our relationship with utilities.
Responsibilities
Design and Implement key modules, enhancements, and evolution of existing products and new products
Explore product requirements to understand technical difficulties, recommend implementation approaches, and design solutions
Lead effectively in both functional/technical group discussions with fellow developers
Act as the technical lead in requirements definition meetings with the Product team as needed.

Required Experience
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
5-10 years of relevant experience building consumer-facing web technologies
3+ years experience in the design of object oriented systems. Deep understanding of design patterns & data modeling
Proven and demonstrable experience designing and implementing enterprise scale, high volume, high availability systems
Deep expertise in J2EE and distributed, multi-threaded programming
Experience with SQL, JDBC and database programming
Experience with Python, Javascript and Flash development a plus
Comfortable in a Unix environment
Experience as an architect or technical lead on projects a strong plus
