Description:
Bioptigen is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team to aid in the development of the acquisition and post processing subsystem of our premier Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) medical imaging acquisition and post-processing system.

Responsibilities:
This position reports to the Director of Software and will be assigned specific programming tasks towards the implementation of our imaging acquisition and post-processing system. The ideal candidate will be expected to work in a collaborative manner with other members of the software development team to determine design requirements and specifications, develop and implement software that meets these design requirements, write design documentation, perform unit and integration testing, and provide ongoing support.
Additional responsibilities include:
Ensure software solutions are implemented in accordance to the Product Development Process; ensure deliverables adequately meet quality, safety, regulatory, maintainability, and reliability standards
Develop required project documentation including software requirements, design, and test documents
Present design proposals to the team and actively participate in design discussion by other teammates. Aid in determining the ideal solution.
Qualifications:
BS in computer science/engineering or related technical discipline
3-5 years experience in software development
Excellent written and verbal communication
Critical thinking and problem solving capability
Demonstrated proficiency in:
Object oriented programming in C# .NET, WPF, MFC
Visual C++/CLR
Multi-processor and/or multi-threaded applications
Interacting with source control systems (TFS, subversion, etc.)
Data communications: TCP/IP, web services, WCF
SQL Server and SQLite databases
Experience with the following is highly desirable:
Medical device product development or other highly regulated development environment
Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4.0
Microsoft Team foundation server (TFS)
