Our platform offers students a fun and engaging way to master academic skills and to prepare for standardized tests. We are growing and looking for a Ruby on Rails Developer to join our creative and collaborative team.Some of the things we're looking for:
1+ years of experience as a software engineer/developer using Ruby on Rails, Javascript, SQL
Working knowledge of Ruby language and Rails framework
Experience with continuous integration (we use TeamCity)
Experience with performance and scalability
Understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns and how they apply to Ruby
Understanding of Ruby meta-programming and able to articulate where it?s appropriate
Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling for scalability and performance
Strong XHTML/CSS/JavaScript and MVC framework experience
Experience with agile, iterative, and test-driven development methods
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Able to clearly articulate design ideas, while being receptive to constructive criticism
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
