We are looking for a highly motivated, creative problem-solver with a passion for excellence. You will develop high quality software solutions for the next generation global health record system, utilize object-oriented programming methodologies and languages, and participate in an Agile team to design, code, and test software components.
Essential Responsibilities:
? Design and develop complex software application components and/or platform services
? Design, develop and execute unit and integration tests
? Participate in project planning sessions with program managers, product managers, clinical analysts, engineers, and team members to analyze requirements and outline the proposed software solution
? Coach new or current team members as appropriate
? Communicate effectively in a cross-functional, global environment
? Be a strong team player who genuinely enjoys working with people in a high-energy collaborative environment
Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
? BS Computer Science / Engineering with 5 years of progressive experience, or MS Computer Science with 2 years of work experience
? Well versed with SDLC for business-critical applications and/or platform development
? Solid object oriented experience: OOP/OOD and UML
? Experience in performance tuning software and SQL/databases
? High proficiency in MS technologies (C#, .NET Framework 3.0+, WCF, MS SQL 2008 & 2012, TFS, MSTest, ADO.Net, LINQ)
? Experience building and maintaining services using SOA, REST, SOAP, WCF and XML
? Automated test development
? Knowledge of software engineering principles, patterns and frameworks
? Sophisticated problem solving skills with a passion for technology
? Ability to participate in complex design problems and providing constructive feedback
? Excellent written & verbal communication skills
? Knowledge of software configuration management practices and procedures
Desired Qualifications:
? Healthcare or Life Sciences domain knowledge, especially Clinical Informatics
? Experience with medical terminology service providers and systems strongly preferred (HLI and/or HDD)
? Experience designing, developing and deploying software into a Cloud environment
? Experience working in an Agile development process
? Test-driven design and development experience
? Experience in working with global teams
? Experience in mentoring junior engineers
? Owning and delivering on commitments with quality and on time
? Proactive in identifying and resolving technical issues related to the product
