We are looking for the best and brightest talent to collaborate with our existing team of seasoned leadership and engineering staff, working together to deliver on our shared vision. At Astute Networks, you will have interesting and challenging work in a collaborative, fast paced environment.Responsibilities will include:
Customer focused software feature development, integration, and on-time quality delivery.
Providing necessary software modifications to our existing software stack working towards the integration of our cutting edge, next generation hardware platforms. This work will help us achieve breakthrough levels of performance.
Troubleshooting in a wide range of areas as needed. Use of protocol analyzers, debuggers, and system logs.
System performance testing, analysis and tuning.
Qualifications:
Excellent work ethic, dependable, flexible, and agile.
8+ years combined Linux user-space and kernel experience: kernel device drivers and modules, multi-processor and multi-threading, scripting (bash, pearl, etc.).
C coding experience is essential, C++ experience is desirable.
Knowledge of networking and storage protocols is highly desirable: Ethernet, TCP/IP, iSCSI, SCSI.
Knowledge of Linux block layer subsystems and related test tools is also desirable.
Demonstrated ability in navigating large software code bases, making necessary modifications with surgical precision, and delivering quality results in a timely manner.
Strong and creative problem solver.
Good oral and written communication skills
Enthusiastic, positive personality, with a good sense of humor.
Passion for continuous learning and open to constructive feedback.
