Federated Media is looking for an enthusiastic, full stack Software Engineer to further develop our Campaign Management and Ad Delivery platforms.Successful software engineers at FM are able to work independently, but enjoy collaborating with our diverse team. Our environment is fast paced, and full of opportunities to deliver high impact features that affect thousands of publishers, and millions of users.
Responsibilities
Build new, high performance, features for LAMP based web applications
Write clean, efficient, modular code that the rest of the team can understand and adopt
Translate product goals into detailed technical plans
Drive feature development from discovery, to implementation, to user acceptance
Create style guides, and template chrome
Rapidly build HTML prototypes to experiment with UX solutions
Simplify complex interfaces through pruning and organization
Requirements
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming with PHP
Efficient with HTML/JS/CSS, and strong with jQuery
Strong computer science fundamentals
Knowledge of design patterns and their consequences
Ability to clearly communicate software design
Comfortable with Unix operating systems and the command line environment
Strong desire to expand and improve your software engineering skills
Pluses
Experience using Git
Experience using Symfony
Open source project contributions
Familiarity with ad products and internet marketing
BS in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent experience
