Software Engineer Linden Lab

Overview:
We are seeking dedicated team players with strong, versatile computer science fundamentals who will become core contributors to refactoring, building, and designing new features of our server product. You will need strong skills in application and server-side development and experience with open-software and distributed software teams is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Refactor code written mostly in C/C++ with some C# and python.
Build new functionality to support new features.
Investigate new technology.
Work with open source technology.
Solve interesting and challenging problems.


Candidate must have:

BS or equivalent in computer science.
C/C++ experience on Linux.
Ability to communicate clearly about design decisions, code, and defects.
Ability to work with remote teams.
Ability to function in an in-world environment.

Nice to have:

Windows and Mac experience.
Python, SQL, C# experience.
Networking experience.
Physics simulation experience.
Knowledge of 3D graphics engines.
A good set of headphones.
The ability to type as fast as you think.
