Job Description
Do you like working on the latest technologies, and coding up state-of-the-art user interfaces for iOS and Android? Do you obsess over detail and delight in ?ah ha? moments that reveal new ways to make your interfaces more intuitive and productive?
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our tablet terminal emulation team. The right candidate will be a strong team player and will work with other engineers, with test, user experience, technical support, and technical writing staff, to ensure we have the best user interfaces for our applications.
Attachmate?s terminal emulation products lead the industry, with tens of millions of users across the globe, and a customer base that includes most of the Fortune 500. Our customers love our advanced security and privacy features, application integration features for Office and the Web, and the industry?s richest set of APIs for developers. Day to day activities include designing and implementing UI and infrastructure code, and working directly with SDETs to develop test code/strategies. Requirements
Proven user interface engineering skills, including passion for implementing great
design and skill at designing as needed
At least 5 years industry experience in all phases of software development.
Proven experience quickly learning new technologies.
Experience developing in Objective-C, C++, C# and Java
Experience with modern development strategies such as: Test-Driven Development, Design Patterns, Unit Testing, and Mocking.
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated industry work experience.
Desirable:
Experience with mobile portability strategies / frameworks.
Experience with networking / security technologies: SSL, SSH, PKI, Telnet, FTP
Knowledge of host environments: IBM, UNIX, OpenVMS, Unisys
