The Software Engineer plays a critical role in all aspects of ePrize software projects. Contribute to business requirements gathering, uses case development, technical specification analysis, system design, and software architecture. They are responsible for writing code, testing, launching, and providing support for large development projects. Software Engineers interact directly with internal and external clients to help brainstorm and create technical solutions to business problems. They may be asked to lead small technical teams through delivery, create system and unit tests, and bring significant technical depth and creativity to projects.
Solve global ePrize problems through the careful application of technology and process.
Write high quality, tested, high-capacity, and maintainable software.
Design modern, reliable, and reusable systems.
Decompose complex problems into manageable tasks.
Write technical specifications, runtime instructions, training materials, and architecture documentation for ePrize systems.
Help develop best practices and technology efficiencies.
Streamline work flow.
Provide leadership to software development teams.
Collaborate with all ePrize teams to arrive at sound technical solutions to business problems.
Interact with internal and external clients to develop business and technical specification materials.
Job Specifications and Competencies:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
5+ years of Software Engineering experience
2+ years development experience in Python or Django
Experience working in an Agile environment
Experience working with distributed teams (onshore and offshore)
Significant expertise and depth in a modern object-oriented or functional language
Proven ability to become expert at the technology, system, and environment of choice
Expertise in system and data modeling using UCD and UML or equivalent
Develop work breakdown structures, high level project plans, and technical implementation plans
Experience in automated software testing, real-time system integration, database programming, web programming, and network programming
Exceptional technical writing, communication, and presentation skills
Innovative and proven problem solving skills
