Our interactive communication solution is a blend of advanced multi-channel applications built upon enterprise software. Services are delivered through a software service model. Businesses use Varolii?s technology to leverage their rich enterprise-level customer data to proactively and personally interact with their customers with timely, relevant information.

Services Architects serve as the thought leaders on Services implementations and how to best fulfill our clients? requirements. Architects provide technical design guidance to developers and help ensure that efficient, supportable and reusable solutions are created.

Primary Responsibilities:

Packaged Customizations. This individual provides guidance on the design and development of packaged customizations. This work involves designing standard approaches to solving similar client requirements across the client base. By reducing the amount of customization in the client base, this activity increases the supportability of solutions and decreases design time for repeat business requirements. This person is responsible for feeding these standardized extensions to Product Management for inclusion into the base platform feature set.
Estimating and Client Facing Responsibilities. This individual will interface closely with Sales and Account teams and with Services Engagement Managers and Project Managers to estimate and architect solutions to non-standard client requirements. In addition, this individual may be asked to participate on client facing appointments to help sell the value of Varolii platform features, services and extensions.
Product Management Leadership. This individual will take the key role of representing the Services vision to the Product Management team and Varolii?s Pipeline Council. As the interface point between Varolii?s clients and platform, the expectation is that Services solutions that add value and market share to Varolii will be pitched via Product Management for inclusion on the Varolii product roadmap. This person must be a key strategic influencer and helps set the vision of new offerings that will be provided to Varolii customers and prospects.
Client Project Design and Development. This individual is responsible for providing design and development guidance on client implementations. This person will interface closely with Services engineering post kickoff to create appropriate solutions to meet client requirements and to ensure that the solutions are developed in a consistent manner.
Services Tools Creation. This individual is responsible for identifying and creating Services tools to enhance the velocity, quality and value of implementation services provided to Varolii clients today.


Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

Ability to design complex solutions utilizing in-house products
Ability to work with developers in a collaborative environment
Ability to quickly understand complex environments
Ability to effectively interface with other teams, both technical and non-technical (including verbal and written communication)
Ability to solve problems, both business and technical

Education / Experience:

5 years programming experience (Java, C++, C#, XML, python are ideal)
3 years database integration experience (Oracle/SQL is ideal)
B.S. in Computer Science or related degree
Workplace leadership experience (desirable)
Estimation experience (desirable)
