Skills in Demand
Java Engineer - Server-side Networking will create user information solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining Java based components and interfaces. You will be primarily responsible for designing and developing Java-based systems that are maintainable, debuggable and scalable.
Responsibilities
Design & develop server software in Java
Code primarily in Java but also able to use the right language for the right job
Develop high quality server, web, or mobile systems software ? including considerations for testability, scalability, reliability, internationalization, support and operations requirements
Work in collaboration with a cross-functional team of product managers, user experience designers, engineers, and QA
Recommend best practices and improvements to existing systems and processes
Write good documentation
Requirements
Develop secure, robust, enterprise-quality software
Must have strong Java development skills with emphasis on server-side networking
Working knowledge of systems such as those deployed by Blue Coat, F5, Citrix and Riverbed
Experience with Java, Swing, Spring, Hibernate. SOAP, REST, and Web Services
Strong debugging skills are a plus
Experience with Distributed and Large Scale Systems
Working knowledge of version control systems (SVN, Git)
Working knowledge of Linux/UNIX
Exceptional problem solving and communication skills
Desire to work and thrive in a collaborative environment
