There is a fundamental shift coming in the way we all use the Internet and Demand Media is at the heart of it. We are looking for masters of their craft to be part of the team on this next generation project.
We are creating a large software infrastructure to support next big thing on the Internet. This requires many software systems to work together seamlessly. Demand Media is looking for people who can confidently develop solutions with high-SLA requirements. The security and stability of the Internet is dependent on your ability for your code to be secure, scalable, testable and high performance.
We are seeking inventive, ambitious go-getters fascinated by developing services that are part of the core Internet infrastructure and who want to work in a fun environment with an energetic team.
You should be excited to work with agile development methodologies with short development cycles in a continuous integration environment with other developers equally passionate about quality work.
This position is located in Kirkland, WA.
Responsibilities:

• Participate in the full development life cycle,
• Working within broadly defined parameters, including test plan execution and software quality needs
• Experience with white box, black box and exploratory testing techniques
• Writing and executing test cases, test plans
• Designing and developing test tools for performance and integration testing
• Debugging and reporting code bugs in highly automated continuous integration environment and pushing quality upstream.
• Unit testing .NET services, libraries as well as SQL stored procedures

Requirements:

• Excellent development skills using C#
• Solid grasp of the .NET framework
• Good T-SQL skills
• Excellent demonstrable object oriented design skills
• Good understanding of Inversion of Control design principles
• Strong unit testing skills using NUnit or Microsoft mstest test framework
• Skills creating automated tests using Watin / Selenium a plus
• Good understanding of continuous integration principles
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environment is helpful
• Ability to define long term testing strategy for the entire system
