Using hundreds of autonomous mobile robots and sophisticated control software, the Kiva Mobile-robotic Fulfillment System enables extremely fast cycle times with reduced labor requirements, from receiving to picking to shipping.For our fast growing software engineering teams, Kiva is looking for multiple talented engineers at all levels who are mature, motivated, and enjoy working in a fast paced development organization.
The software engineer will be responsible for:
Implementation and delivery of quality software as part of the Kiva Mobile Fulfillment System
Interaction with Product Line Management and Architecture teams in determining requirements and design for new features
Documentation, design, implementation and unit test of software modules with-in the Kiva MFS
Supporting QA, deployment and post-release maintenance
Mentoring junior engineers
The Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
BS or MS in CS
5+ years experience developing object oriented software with C++ or Java
Experience designing and implementing highly available soft real-time systems
Strong back ground in developing enterprise class software running on embedded or server platforms a plus
Solid understanding of one or more of the following technologies:
Spring, JMS, JDBC, JAXB, JUnit
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Desire and energy to work in a fast-paced environment
