All of this action means that we need very strong engineers who can work throughout the software stack to build features that are not only high quality, but also beautiful.Redfin is looking for a software engineer manager to lead a team of software developers who work primarily on features that get more people to Redfin.com, and then keep them engaged once they are there. The team specializes in building beautiful social features that allow people to engage their friends in the home buying and selling processes. This is the team that recently shipped the Redfin Collections feature.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineering manager with a proven track record for building beautiful features on rock-solid infrastructure. Previous leadership experience and strong team-building skills are a must - we are constantly growing our engineering teams, and recruiting will be a big part of your role. Familiarity with agile processes is also highly desired. Redfin?s architecture is based on Java/Javascript, Spring, Hibernate, Postgres/PostGIS, Hadoop/Hive, and many other related technologies. If you don?t already know how to work with these technologies, you will need to learn fast.
