Software Engineering Manager - Solutions Panasas
DUTIES: Build, retain, and manage a team of system software engineers working on the Panasas ActiveScale Storage Cluster. Focus on development of add-on components for Panasas products that enable the Panasas products in new markets. Work with marketing to craft a business and product strategy for the Panasas solutions portfolio, and manage the implementation of these products. Deliver high-quality products and work as part of the management team on product strategy and roadmap for future development. Work with Panasas marketing to craft a winning product strategy that delivers solutions that meet the business needs over time. Influence the solution team?s success through technical as well as people leadership skills. Work with the team to develop project schedules and drive high quality and on time completion of projects. Attract and retain high caliber engineering talent.REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a directly related field of study plus two (2) years of system software experience. Alternate education/experience requirement: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a directly related field of study, plus five (5) years of system software experience. Work experience must include two (2) years of hands-on experience with UNIX, C, and C++, as well as two (2) years of experience in (and a deep technical understanding of) two (2) of the following technical areas: (i) storage management; (ii) virtualization; (iii) disaster recovery; or (iv) Cloud gateways. Must also have two (2) years of experience working with geographically dispersed organizations.
