Software Engineering Team Lead Meltwater

OverviewMeltwater Group is seeking talented, highly motivated individuals to lead in the creation of products for a new research and development department (Meltwater Labs). As a successful candidate, you will put to use your wealth of experience across many aspects of software engineering. This will include design/architecture, implementation, and testing.
You'll be working with a young, high energy team that loves to grab a beer at Fat Angel (almost) as much as we like to make amazing new things. We treat our employees with excellent benefits and have a lucrative bonus structure.
Responsibilities
--Lead a small team of engineers. You will be actively involved in recruitment.
--Work with product and design team members to conceptualize beautiful new ideas (both visually and architecturally).
--Architect and develop the best ideas into prototypes, and then fantastic products.
--Identify and take advantage of frameworks, libraries, and languages that best address business requirements.
--Effectively integrate with Meltwater's existing technology products and data sets, and act as a technical liaison to other departments.

Desired skills
--Experience building highly scalable systems that process terabytes of data per day.
--In-depth understanding of optimizing applications in production environments.
--Experience automating data analysis using MapReduce or OLAP technologies.
--Knowledge of several programming and scripting languages, and discretion to know which ones are good fits for a given challenge.
--Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
--A dedication to detail that would rival the most senior designers at Lockheed Martin.
--Passion for creating stunning business solutions, astounding code, and everything in between.
