Avalara is looking for a qualified Software Implementation Consultant manage the onboarding of customers to the AvaTax SaaS Platform. Management and installation is handled remotely via phone and screenshare. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple concurrent implementations, moving them towards successful completion. This is a fast-paced job that requires task management, issue management, and training while maintaining an exceptional level of customer satisfaction.
Job Summary: Software Implementation Consultants are responsible for the coordination of training and support throughout the customers implementation of Avalaras products and services. The Software Implementation Consultant ensures that each customer understands the GoLive process and is aware of the tools and training available. Software Implementation Consultants are the main point of contact for their customers, and are required to document each customer contact, escalate issues to the appropriate department and facilitate the resolution of customer issues to insure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Work with clients to identify key business requirements, priorities, and product timelines.
Configure the AvaTax Admin Console based on customer business requirements.
Configure the AvaTax Returns Filing Calendar.
Ensure the completeness and accuracy of documentation required for customer to Go Live on Avalara products and services.
Pro-actively coordinate and manage tasks and milestones to achieve implementation targeted time frames and ensure department NPS scores, GoLive Targets, and Velocity goals are achieved.
Provide regular progress reports to team and management.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional communication and consistent follow up.
Document customer progress with each customer interaction.
Monitor and respond to customer requests via phone or email.
Manage customer issues from incident report through to resolution.
Escalate technical issues immediately following departmental guidelines and follow-up regularly with the customer and internal resources to expedite issue resolution.
Manage the installation process including welcome call, directing customer to the Avalara Customer Center to sign up for training and resources, and coordination of customer driven activities including scheduling of product installation.
Develop and maintain a basic timeline and milestone schedule for custom integrations.
Contribute to process and product improvement to increase performance and customer satisfaction.
Experience and Skills:
Successful experience working directly with customers to resolve implementation issues.
ERP implementation experience highly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of project management tasks in application implementation environment.
Effective communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage workflow to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain an effective follow up system to ensure timely and accurate handling project implementation.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Proven PC skills such as Windows XP/2000/2003, MS Office Suite, and MS Outlook.
Knowledge of and experience with Sales & Use Tax preferred
