Software IP Analyst OpenLogic

OpenLogic is looking for a software audit analyst to help scan software applications to identify open source software. You will use automated tools to scan and analyze software source code for open source code and licenses, and prepare reports indicating the open source software and licenses included.

Ideal candidate will be very detail oriented and have ability to review source code or binary files and determine where the files came from originally; either open source project, commercial project or proprietary code. Candidate is expected to understand basic concepts of programming, open source software and open source licenses. Candidates asked to interview in person will be expected to prepare a short presentation on OpenLogic products and services and discuss different types of open source software.

This will be a part-time to full-time contract position that could evolve to a full-time exempt position. Some travel possible. Initial training will be on-site in Broomfield. Once you are up to speed, some work can be done remotely, but you will need to still occasionally work from the Broomfield office. We anticipate approximately 30-40 hours per week. Hourly rate will depend on experience.

Qualifications

Software programming experience in industry 2+years

Strong experience with using MS Excel

Strong knowledge of how software is built and assembled

Familiarity with open source software

Solid oral and written communications skills

Experience as a build or test engineer is a plus

Familiarity with open source licenses is a plus

Customer facing experience is a plus
