Software Production Engineer MaxPoint Interactive
Job DescriptionMaxPoint Interactive is seeking a highly motivated Software Production Engineer, to analyze, troubleshoot, and address technical issues as well as develop tools and solutions for process improvement. The ideal candidate thrives in a highly technical role where technical challenges are as diverse as they are abundant.
Responsibilities
Answer technical questions from Account Management and Analytics teams
Interact with business partners, discussing highly technical topics
Troubleshoot issues involving system configuration, behavior, and performance
Run tests to ensure proper functioning of system in various environments
Design and develop tools for automation and process improvement
Analyze large quantities of data to find trends or indications of potential issues
Identify areas for system improvement and communicate with development team
Preferred Skills
Solid understanding of HTML, HTTP, and other web-focused technologies
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic and interrupt-driven environment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and writing skills
Friendly and approachable personality
Knowledge of ASP.NET under IIS
Understanding of JavaScript, Python, C#, and/or Java
Experience with Postgres or other SQL-based database systems
Familiarity with both Windows and Linux environments
Qualifications
BS in Computer Science (or other technical discipline with significant computer coursework) or equivalent experience
Previous experience working in a technical support or customer facing roles
Desire to interact with internal and external customers (mainly via phone, email)
Must be eligible to work in the United States (we are not able to sponsor visas at this time)
Willingness to travel up to 25%
