Software QA Automation Engineer ? Healthcare Solutions
The Software QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for participating in and creating automation solutions across multiple components in an open, extensible framework that will support a wide variety of clients, servers and devices over a broad range of network environments. The SQA Automation Engineer will create solutions that reduce product validation test time by analyzing product and technical artifacts, designing and developing automated test solutions, and documenting and training others in the use of these tools. The successful candidate will have experience developing automation frameworks for testing enterprise-class system software packages. Proven ability with a variety of engineering tools as well as experience with C# is preferred.
Specific Duties Include:
Develops Manual Tests by analyzing product use cases, personas, and requirements as well as technical design and implementation artifacts to create test cases that execute the specific product functions.
Develops Automated tests by implementing test cases using the tools that are selected as appropriate to accomplish product automation.
Executes Manual and Automated tests and reports defects by running automated tests; executing manual tests; reviewing results of all tests and reporting anomalies into the defect tracking database; verifying the resolution of all defects for an assigned project.
Enforces Quality Standards by recommending resolution of outages; developing new procedures and standards; suggesting improvements to existing standards; participating in internal and cross functional code and design reviews.
Protects Assets by ensuring that all work is stored appropriately in the proper repository (Quality Center, Subversion) in compliance with department standards.
Completes Projects by planning, organizing, and monitoring assignments.
Prepares Reports by collecting and summarizing information to include providing accurate data for project reporting as well as a weekly personal status report to in the assigned template format.
Maintains Professional and Technical Knowledge by identifying and reviewing professional information sources (periodicals, books, web sites); benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
Contributes to Team Effort by accomplishing related results as needed; working in cooperation with all members both within and external to the QA organization and/or project.
QUALIFICATIONS:
?Minimum of 4 years of QA lifecycle experience, from test plan creation to customer deployment in a software product company.
?Strong understanding of quality assurance and testing process, structure and documentation
?Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated technical and analytical skills
?Ability to conceptualize complex requirements, think logically and creatively, work on tasks simultaneously, and be very detail oriented
?Ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals (subject matter experts, system users, developers, support personnel)
?Hands-on MS/SQL Server experience preferred.
?Experience with automation scripting a plus.
?Experience with Quality Center
?Experience testing software products for the healthcare market is preferred.
?Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
