Software QA Engineer Jawbone
DescriptionJob Summary: The Software QA Lead position requires a self-motivated and dynamic individual with strong technical and communication skills who thrives in a fast pace agile development environment. The ideal candidate would be someone who understands mobile specific testing challenges and issues. Core Responsibilities: Participate in group scrum and sprint development meetings
Effectively communicate with our product and design teams during new feature reviews and throughout product development
Propose tradeoffs and provide risk assessment to stakeholders as necessary
Set accurate test schedules
Collaborate with engineering to create comprehensive test plans for mobile applications
Review test plans and determine appropriate test coverage for various projects
Manage and execute test cases during the test pass phase to ensure completion
Screen bug reports generated by the QA team
Work with fellow Leads to coordinate testing efforts and share resources as necessary
Collect, analyze, track and report product and process metrics
Lead and mentor team members to grow into senior test/leadership positions and to achieve on time delivery
Requirements:
5+ years of working as a Quality Assurance professional
3+ years working as a Quality Assurance Lead supervising others
Experience testing mobile applications using iOS and Android platforms
Strong knowledge of QA concepts and methodology, best practices, processes, tools, and metrics
Familiarity with agile, scrum
Able to handle an extremely fast pace development cycles while maintaining the highest quality standards
Great communication skills both in person and in writing, and experience hiring and retaining QA engineers and developers in test
