Summary
Are you a passionate QA manager with outstanding leadership skills? Have you led QA teams in the past and thoroughly enjoyed the experience? We at EcoFactor are seeking an exceptionally talented Software QA leader who knows how to deliver projects with high quality. The successful candidate will be considered a subject-matter-expert, have excellent logic and problem solving skills and drive to make a difference. They will be responsible for a multi-disciplined QA team spanning web and mobile applications, distributed device management, real-time DB driven servers and Big Data analytics. This is a great role for a hands-on Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
? Must be passionate about working a high growth environment!
? Help establish QA, deployment process to fit into overall software development lifecycle
? Perform QA and production support for our Java-based SaaS applications
? Participate in a hands-on manner in leading/Managing an agile team of onsite and offshore QA engineers
? Work with product and engineering staff to review requirements and create test plans
? Work with customer support staff to help resolve usability issues
? Drive automation testing for both backend servers, APIs and Web Applications
? Help adopt best-practice technologies for QA and production support
Experience (Required)
? At least 2 years experience as a QA technical lead or manager with a strong sense of collaboration.
? At least 6 years hands-on experience as a QA engineer
? Must have been a leader of a highly successful product development team with major QA contributions
? Supporting large-scale SaaS applications on production system
? Performing QA on complex Java-based applications on Linux platform
? Black-box, white-box testing using moderns tools and methodologies
? Test automation using tools such as Selenium
? Managing and prioritizing software bugs via tools such as Jira
? Developing test cases and test plans
? Experience with Clustered servers and Web services
? Experience testing AJAX/Javascript based web applications
? SQL and RDBMS knowledge required
? General networking and security standards
? Experience leading remote teams
Experience (Desired)
? Experience in Java server configuration, clustering and deployment preferred
? Experience with embedded software/firmware testing a plus
? Knowledge or exposure to distributed computing technology such as Hadoop and HBASE

? Must be ?self-motivated? and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks as delegated.
? Must be a ?team-player? with the ability to work within collaborative environments.
? Willingness and ability to quickly learn new technologies.
? Ability to operate at both a high level as well drive detailed technical decision-making.
? Ability to work in a deadline oriented, and fast paced environment
? Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

? BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
