Azimuth Systems, a leader in wireless data communications test equipment, has an immediate opening for
a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at our office in Acton, MA. The successful
candidate will be an energetic, well-organized, detail-oriented engineer with a strong entrepreneurial
approach to work. In this position, you will be responsible for the overall quality of both software
components including Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs), customer-focused automation libraries for
Azimuth products and validation of wireless communications system test solutions with 3
rd
party
products.
Reponsibilities
The Software Quality Assurance Engineer?s responsibilities will include:
? Create test plans and automated tests for new features and products
? Perform regression testing using existing automated scripts
? Help design best-in-class user interfaces and customer automation tools by working closely with
development engineers during the design process
? Conceive of new test methodologies and introduce new tools to improve coverage, efficiency and
diagnosis
? Work with Azimuth Sales Engineers and end customers to apply capabilities to unique situations
and diagnose problems
? Travel: Possible travel to customer sites world-wide to support Field Engineers onceor twice a
year.
Qualifications
? 2-3 years of related experience including software and/or hardware testing with embedded
systems and GUI applications
? A high level of competence in software programming in scripting languages such as TCL or
PERL. Other language experience a strong plus.
? Experience with wireless communications fundamentals and Radio Frequency lab equipment is
desirable but not required
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
? A intense desire to achieve product perfection and to drive continuous improvement in a
customer?s experience with all aspects of Azimuth Systems product Azimuth Systems, Inc.
