Software Quality Assurance Engineer Empirix
We seek an experienced QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team and support delivery of the Empirix family of products and contribute to the planning and execution of test activities within the project team. We seek a well-rounded team player with experience testing large scale distributed systems within a multi-product environment and the ability to support implementation of new tools and procedures as part of the organization?s quality initiatives.
Background/Experience:
7-10 Years QA experience with 5+ years in the telecoms/telephony and/or Enterprise Monitoring systems domain
3+ Years demonstrable experience in complex System Level test environments, including Load and Performance characterization.
Knowledge of and experience with Quality process and methodologies:
Defect tracking tools;
Test case development implementation and execution;
Experience and exposure within Agile/Scrum development environment
Automation tools and techniques:
Strong scripting skills for manipulating text based files (e.g. Perl, etc);
Knowledge and use of automation frameworks and tools (e.g. Selenium, SilkTest, etc)
Technical Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of database systems and technology (e.g. SQL, others)
Extended hands on experience in networking (understanding of routing, network infrastructure, connectivity, etc.), including lab implementation and configuration
Very knowledgeable with Linux and Windows operating environments, including installation and configuration
Experience in deployment/testing telephony systems; VoIP signaling and media protocols (SIP, H.248, H.323, MGCP, Skinny, RTP, codecs)
Understanding of NGN networks, mobile broadband infrastructure and protocols (3G, 4G environments) a plus.
Involvement testing Network Management Systems also beneficial
