Job Description
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer with broad experience testing all aspects of mission-critical web applications to join our growing QA team. As a QA Engineer you will be responsible for test planning as QA Lead, facilitating the development and review of Business Driven Development (BDD) requirements, designing and developing well-crafted test cases and test suites, coordinating test execution via both manual and automated methods, and reporting status in a fast-paced, agile environment. The ideal candidate will have software scripting and development experience, expertise in automated open source testing technologies, fastidious attention to quality details, and excellent oral and written communications skills.
Responsibilities:
Representing QA in product team meetings and reviews
Planning and executing testing for Agile test sprints
Interfacing with Product to facilitate requirements elicitation & clarification
High-level and detailed test suite and test case design
Exploratory, ad-hoc and scripted manual execution of test cases
Design and development of automated testware using Python, Robot Framework, shell scripting, JavaScript, and other technologies
Managing a significant Redmine ticket flow responsibly
Setup, configure and maintain physical and virtual Windows, Mac and Linux test systems
Coordinating with Product, Development and QA team members to identify product defects, mitigate risks, and deliver software excellence
Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
Min 3 years performing quality assurance testing of mission-critical, client facing, web-based applications
Min 3 years scripting/programming in Python, Ruby, Java, Perl, and/or Javascript
Min 3 years in defect tracking tools such as Redmine, Jira, FogBugz, Bugzilla, etc.
Min 2 years agile team experience as QA Lead
Min 2 years of using automated test tools including Robot Framework and Selenium
Min 1 year performance testing such as Jmeter, Load Runner, etc.
Min 1 year testing RESTFUL APIs
Preferred
Experience testing in an Agile environment
Experience with mobile application testing
Expertise in Selenium and Robot Framework test automation
Thorough knowledge of QA best practices across the SDLC
Thorough understanding of Quality Assurance processes and methods
Proven ability to develop and maintain all QA test artifacts
Demonstrated programmer-level command line fluency on Windows, Mac and -NIX platforms
