JOB SUMMARY:

The Software Engineer, Quality is responsible for ensuring the quality of the assigned products or features. The Software Engineer, Quality creates technical test plans and test designs for the product or feature being tested and executes manual or automated test scripts across the multiple platforms that are supported, for the client, server and database. The Software Engineer, Quality works with a team of Quality Engineers/Analysts and participates in the identification, development, creation and improvement of the technical testing processes and framework and infrastructure

Essential Functions (performed on an ongoing basis):

• Develops ability to ensure the quality of assigned applications
  
• Participates with a team of Quality Engineers / Analysts to learn, identify, develop, create and improve technical testing processes and framework
  
• Installs Lawson product into the test environments
  
• Develops ability to configure Lawson Software on different technologies such as: O/S platforms, web/application servers, LDAP servers and relational databases
  
• Assists with developing automated testing tools and test frameworks
  
• Creates manual test or automated test cases based on technical and certification requirements
  
• Documents all test scripts in a common repositor
  
• Evaluates testing tools available on market to determine what can be used to meet Lawson's needs
  
• Develops and uses automated testing tools and test frameworks
  
• Installs Lawson products and configures with supported 3rd party technologies such as: operating systems, web servers, application servers, LDAP servers and relational databases
  
• Defines/documents testing methodologies/processes
  
• Mentors quality engineers on methodologies, technologies and problem solving techniques
  
• Enhances the regression test suite and improves the code coverage
  

Requirements:

· Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology, Social Science/Sociology, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent

· At least 5+years experience in software development, testing and support

· At least 4 years degree in Software Systems or equivalent

· Has knowledge and experience on test planning, designing, defect tracking and test case/script creation and execution

· Experience with integration & regressions testing and coordination with supporting systems
