Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking an energetic and talented Configuration Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for various project and configuration management tasks. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, communicate and inspire, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, have/display a sense of urgency and ownership with each task, project and/or release, as well as exhibit problem-solving abilities.
The Configuration Manager will operate in an exciting, fast-paced environment and will have visibility across the organization. This positionr will need to work closely with various development teams, typically within challenging deadlines for deliverables.
Specific duties include:
Report to Manager of SCM
Build and deploy packages to various environments (QA through Prod)
Maintain the continuous integration environment
Maintain build/deployment automation tools
Provide service/support to the various development teams
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5+ years of related experience
Knowledge of Subversion (SVN), Maven, Cruise Control, Hudson, and Jira
Knowledge of Linux, Windows, SQL, and Java
Experience with scripting (Bash, Perl, Python) & automation abilities.
Ability to excel within an "agile" environment (iterative development, continuous integration, shared ownership, test-driven development, etc.).
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced multi-disciplinary team setting.
Excellent communication & documentation skills
Understands importance of accuracy & responsiveness with a strong sense of urgency
Familiarity with J2EE application development
Familiarity with various containers (Tomcat, JBoss)
Hands-on experience with complex build systems
