Software Technical Trainer

The Software Technical Trainer will design, develop and manage software training curriculum and supporting documents for internal staff (Software Engineers, Sales, Pre-Sales Engineers, Project Managers) and external customers using MetraNet, MetraTech?s enterprise agreements-based billing platform and solution. This position will understand learning theories and will deliver training in-person, train-the-trainer and on-line training as part of the MetraTech University LMS.
Design, develop, manage and deliver training curriculum and documents that will be used for internal new employees (engineers and professional services staff), external end-user / customers and system integrators.
Design, revise and deliver refresher training, new produce, upgrades and new features.
Provide classroom style, formal software applications training; one-on-one individualized software applications training as well as Web-based software and Client specific applications training to all level of users, utilizing available technology to create and deliver training material that is interesting, innovative, stimulating and effective.
Work closely with both the customers and MetraTech?s Sales Team to measure satisfaction with customer training programs.
Liaison with cross-functional work teams, key stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop course specifications and gather course content.
Expand course exercises to reinforce course content and materials.
Bachelor?s degree required (Computer Science, or related field)
3 year experience delivering technical training sessions, instructional design and development in classroom settings, virtual classroom settings and via web-conferencing tools.
Technically proficient (SQL, C#, Java, Flash and/or HTML5 helpful).
Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, including: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as learning technologies such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate, design tools, LMS and web conferencing applications.
Proficient knowledge of Relational Databases (MS SQL, Oracle, DB2) on Windows or Unix/Linux environment including installation, configuration, creating table spaces, and basic administration.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability communicate effectively at all levels.
The ability to learn software solutions quickly using pre-release documentation and pre-release software and hardware.
Excellent English language skills essential.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality and seamless training excellence.
Ability to travel up to 50% including travel outside of the United States to administer live onsite training as needed.
