Summary of PositionThe Software Test Engineer will design and execute test automation for our leading Information Management solution. The Software Test Engineer must have a combination of technical, programming, and software verification skills. The ideal candidate is ambitious, outgoing, articulate, intelligent, and very well organized. The position is for a self-starter driven by opportunity, accomplishment and the desire for success.
Position Location: Company Headquarters in Austin, TX
Responsibilities include:
Design and implement automated test cases for functional and regression testing.
Troubleshoot product defects and provide pertinent details assisting their resolution.
Manage execution of continuous integration server and monitor test results across multiple versions.
Analyze automation coverage and prioritize development of new tests.
Create tools and scripts for white-box testing and recreating problematic scenarios.
Maintain test resources in lab needed by automation environment.
Work closely with development, support, and product management to ensure the quality goals of the organization.
Required Experience:
Five or more years as a software tester or test automation engineer.
Strong QA skills; ability to write effective defects; excellent troubleshooting skills.
Programming or test automation experience.
Prefer strong Python experience.
Extensive experience with browser automation frameworks such (e.g. Selenium or Watir); thorough understanding of HTTP, DHTML, and JavaScript.
Proven proficiency with Linux/Unix and Windows.
SQL skills.
Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in a CS, engineering, or related field.
Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written); strong interpersonal skills.
