Summary:

As a Software Test Engineer for the Tools and Infrastructure Team, you will work closely with other members of the engineering organization to design, develop and maintain the tools and infrastructure used for the development, testing and manufacturing of our product?s firmware.



Principal Duties:

Development and maintenance of a C#/.net based set of tools used to automate the management of the lab environment and nightly firmware validation and regression testing.

Development and maintenance of automated code generation tools used in firmware development.

Development and maintenance of customer facing tools to automate service tasks.

Troubleshoot product issues as tests are executed.

Work with developers to reproduce and understand product and test defects.

Execute, debug and manage automated test infrastructure and SQL Server database.

Some development of automated tests using the C language.



Education

BS, (CS, CE, or EE) or equivalent combination of education and experience



Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years programming experience in an object oriented language.

Minimum 3 years of .net and WinForms programming experience.

Experience with C and/or C++.

Experience developing windows services and socket programming.

Comfort with .net regular expressions.

Experience with web services and WMI queries.

Experience with Visual Studio.

Experience with source control tools. ClearCase experience is desirable.

Database and SQLServer experience desirable.

Storage industry background is helpful.

Exposure to agile development and testing methods.

Exposure to various testing approaches and architectures.

ASPX and VB experience is helpful.

Strong multithreaded, object oriented application development skills.

Self-directed engineer with the ability to manage multiple priorities and champion solutions.

Ability to evaluate and learn new technologies through self-directed study.

Willingness to follow coding standards and to help the development process evolve and mature.

Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to mentor other developers.
