As a Software Test Lead, you have the opportunity to accelerate the delivery and to improve the quality of the SAVO web application. You will be responsible for providing a quality product through the creation of system test plans for product releases, building test cases and test scripts, executing both manual and automated tests, defect tracking, and signing off on product quality. You will lead the QA effort for an Agile team of Design, Development and QA that is working on problems in a number of areas, including web application optimization, performance, document and content delivery, rich user interface design, and mobile products.
We are looking for a strong contributor and leader with software testing talents to help us assure that our highly scalable web application meets the highest standards.
Technical Skills - Is not only a subject matter expert of all SAVO products, but shows an awareness and knowledge within multiple business or technical areas; knowledge and experience in typical testing tools for defect management and performance testing.
Project Planning - Authors and executes test project plans, manages risks and brings projects to closure within reasonable variances. Uses resources effectively and efficiently. Assists project owners within the department to develop project test plans.
Analysis ? Maintains thorough documentation and tracking and uses this information for intelligent decision making, process improvement, and communication to relevant staff members.
Communication & Influencing - Excellent written and verbal skills. Reviews, creates, and maintains documentation. Authors entire or subsets of policies and procedures that will be reviewed for wide distribution. Communicates risks effectively to relevant staff members.
Teacher, Mentor & Personal Growth - Develops content and conducts departmental sessions in area of expertise. Versatile learner; open to change; experiments. Provides constructive feedback. Actively seeks internal or external activities or training to enhance capabilities.

Job Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, related technical field, or equivalent experience.
Typically requires a minimum of eight (8) years software testing experience
Typically requires a minimum of three (3) or more years leading a team
Strong knowledge of QA best practices and methodology
Strong knowledge of ASP.NET, VB.NET, AJAX, C#, SQL, XML
Ability to write and understand object-oriented programming
Solid understanding of testing web-based software on multiple browsers
Excellent ability to define test plans, test cases and test situations
Experience with one or more automated testing tools running pass/fail
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience in a fast-paced web development environment
Detail-oriented, resourceful, with strong problem solving skills
Work well independently as well as on a team
Multi-task, prioritize tasks, and manage time well
Agile or SCRUM development experience a plus
Knowledge of formal project management techniques and tools through training and direct experience (MS Project or other project scheduling tools) desirable.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong computer/technical skills required
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Visual Studio, and Team Foundation Server
Experience with SQL Server and the ability to write and execute complex queries
Development experience or familiarity with one or more programming languages
