In order to become the best in our target markets by making our customers stronger, we are actively recruiting a Usability Analyst to join our User Experience Team based in Stockholm.

The Usability Analyst is primarily responsible for analyzing business, software, and usability requirements and developing detailed user experience designs for enhancements, new products or modules. The Usability Analyst contributes to designing user interaction and visual designs ensuring that the final user experience of the product is intuitive, consistent, concise, comprehensible, and feasible, and that product designs conform to standards. The Usability Analyst serves as the advocate for the user community and is involved throughout the entire product design life cycle. The Usability Analyst serves as a subject matter expert and works with development teams to communicate design specifications and resolve problem with designs.

Responsibilities

• Researches, Documents, creates prototypes and tests user interfaces and experiences
• Participates in user classes/personas definition process
• Creates user class/persona characteristic documents
• Documents user interaction design specifications using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely
• Maintains consistency of the design/solutions with company and product usability standards
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting user interaction methods and techniques
• Maintains consistency of the visual design for user interfaces with company and product look and feel standards and guidelines
• Participates as a member of a software development team
• Contributes to usability activities project plan by estimating timeline for assigned tasks
• Helps to resolve user interaction/visual design issues that arise during product development lifecycle

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor or Master's Degree in a relevant area, for example Cognitive Science or Computer Science with a strong HCI profile
• Experience as a Usability Analyst, User Experience Designer, Interaction designer or similar
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong oral/written skills
• Experience with low and high fidelity prototyping
• Ability to conceptualize information organization
• Presentation skills to the team members and other project participants
• Ability to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements
• Deep understanding of user-centered design Principals, user experience and HCI techniques especially
• Experience in formulating and maintaining design and usability guidelines
• Working knowledge of how to formulate design specifications (UI specifications) according to software development lifecycle in a team environment
• Knowledge of best practices in contemporary user experience design
• Understanding of product design process
