Solar Project Assistant Developer Community Energy
Community Energy, a leading renewable energy company, is seeking highly motivated candidates for a full-time Assistant Project Developer position based in Chapel Hill, NC supporting the origination and development of solar projects in North Carolina and the Southeast. The position reports to the Director of Business Development ? Southeast, in the Company?s Chapel Hill, NC office. Community Energy is a leading developer of utility-scale solar projects nationally, with a ten-year track record of solar and wind development at utility scale. This opening is part of the expansion of the Company?s successful solar project development in the North Carolina, focused on the origination of new solar projects five to one hundred megawatts in size. The Assistant Project Developer will work with a team of people supporting various aspects of solar project development. Tasks include research, preparation of applications and communications, review of contracts, studies and reports, maintaining project records, and other ad hoc tasks as the need arises. The ideal candidate is self-driven, flexible, and detail-oriented. Office management or paralegal experience beneficial. The Company culture is non-hierarchical and attracts highly motivated, accountable, results-oriented individuals with high standards, all of which are prerequisites for the position. Passion for the job is a must for a successful fit at Community Energy. Position will commence as a full-time independent contractor, with the possibility of conversion to full-time employee. Pay scale in the range of $20-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience and abilities.
