The Solution Architect (SA) will lead the efforts of the Liaison team to: develop business architectures, create technical strategies and roadmaps; and define and recommend IT architectures to help our customers solve their most difficult business challenges. The SA will leverage a broad base of experience and breadth and depth of technical knowledge, including, but not limited to: technology infrastructure (network, computer, storage, security); business, data, software, and integration architectures; and IT operations, organization and governance design. The SA must have the knowledge and experience of a senior enterprise architect or chief technology officer (CTO), combined with a demonstrable track record of successfully delivering complex IT programs and solutions.This individual helps customers think through and define their critical business capabilities and corresponding IT strategies. Individual builds plans and directs implementations of the solution. Individual is expected to gain a high level of influence and relationships with key members of the customer?s team and may act in the role of ?executive advisor? in that regard. Creates and delivers innovative solutions that increase awareness and strengthens customer relationships.
Required Skills (Related Business and Technical Knowledge)
Complete technical architecture: deep expertise in two or more technology domains (integration architecture, BPM/workflow/process optimization, network/infrastructure, data, applications/middleware); fluency in all tech. domains
Fluency in network technologies and related, advanced technologies
Expertise in most soundness disciplines (availability, security, etc.) and operations disciplines (systems management, change management, etc.)
Expertise in IT business architecture areas including business process design and governance
Program implementation skills, including project portfolio management, and planning, reporting and directing others? work across multiple implementations concurrently
Mentoring
Track record of organization-wide change, driven by significant, innovative ideas.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present complex information in simple language to non-technical audiences
Ability to effect change by presenting clear and convincing opinions and principles
Proven ability to analyze and resolve problems; must be decisive and action-oriented with ability to function well under pressure
Strong hands-on Java architecture, design, development, and implementation experience (2+ years)
Extensive expertise and proven implementations leveraging SOA and ESB architectures, Web Services, and XML
Strong grasp of relational and object oriented database concepts; experience with SQL Server and Oracle specifically in database architecture and design for scalability, high availability, performance optimization, and security
Desired Technical Skills
Experience with Master Data Management (MDM)
Exposure to, and experience interfacing with, multiple systems in an overall solution involving more than database to database connectivity
Development tools: Eclipse, source control tools such as Subversion
Exposure to JBoss and Tomcat, webMethods
Experience with SOAP standards and REST
Experience with Hadoop a plus
Working understanding of networking, firewalls, clustering, load balancing
Experience with VM and architecture/implementation for production solutions
