Description
This full-time/permanent position requires hands-on experience in designing enterprise level collaborative and reporting solution with primary focus in the area of Supply Chain Management.
Responsible for translating the client?s business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. Acts as an advocate for the client, as the ultimate authority on the solution designed to address client business problems. Provides direction for design activities. Often project-based, sometimes working at customer sites.
Excellent interpersonal and customer skills are essential to this position, as are written and verbal skills. Solution Architects also frequently function as the primary client contact. It is expected that they have the ability to quickly develop an excellent base of knowledge of each clients business, organization and objectives, and to develop relationships with clients. Excellent understanding of Supply Chain Management practices is necessary. Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle etc.) is desired.
JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.
SUPERVISION: Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
EXPERIENCE: minimum of 2 years of related experience
Responsibilities:
Translate business needs into technical system requirements and design requirements
Review and optimize solutions for customer specific business problems
Owns and manages Solution Design Document from creation through sign off until go live
Key responsible to ensure customer gets comfortable that solution design addresses requirements
Defines the overall integration architecture between internal ERP and MRP systems and E2open Software
Requirements:
Advanced degree in Business or comparable field
Understanding of Supply Chain Management practices
Excellent English communication (oral, written, presentation) and interpersonal skills.
2-5+ years experience with Supply Chain processes (Forecast, Purchase Order, Shipments and Invoices)
2+ years hands-on experience (design, testing, training, ops) in software deployment projects (no software development experience required)
Degree in IT or Computer Science
Language skills (verbal): German, French, other European languages
Experience with at least one ERP implementation (SAP, Oracle) and integrating into a non-ERP application
Design/implementation experience in one or more of the following software offerings.
SAP business applications
Oracle applications
Manugistics Supply Chain Solutions
Other leading Supply Chain or ERP Vendors
BI Data Warehousing experience
Project Management experience
Ability to support sales opportunities by assisting in proposal development, RFP responses, and development of sales presentations
Experience in the Hi-Tech industry or Telecommunications Industry
B2B integration knowledge
