Job Description
This role, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, is designed to assist clients with the design, implementation and review of their hosted solution with Wall Street Systems. The person chosen will be working with all aspects of our hosted technology stack, offering clients expertise in the design and deployment of our software within our data center.
Key Responsibilities
Develop technical solutions to migrate existing production, data center consolidated, data center operating environment.
Create and document technical requirements and designs
Provide deployment and problem resolution
Manage all technical aspects of the data center migration phases (Assessment, Planning, Execution)
Manage testing lifecycle for all applications being transitioned to client (Design, Build, Testing, Deployment and Operational Transition)
Interface with internal technical subject matter experts and drive to conclusion any technical open issues.

Required Skills
At least 5 years of experience playing lead technical role in successful data center optimization / virtualization / consolidation projects.
Extensive experience with Windows 2003, 2008 and Red Hat Linux
Experience with VMWare virtualization technology
Experience with V2V, P2V migration tools (Platespin, VMware VConverter)
Experience working within MS SQL Server and Oracle database environments
Experience with remote access and file transfer tools such as SFTP, SSH, RDP / Citrix
Knowledge of standard network protocols, load balancing, and firewalls in a CISCO network environment
Extensive experience designing and architecting highly available, secure, scalable hosting infrastructures
Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions and tools, including clustering, load balancing, etc.
Experience with SAN technologies
ITIL knowledge and experience
Strong management, collaboration and team building skills and demonstrated experience working with both technical and non-technical staff.
Excellent analytic, organizational, and facilitation skills, with proven ability to manage multiple tasks, resolve or escalate issues and risk, direct priorities, all under tight deadlines.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to operate across multiple projects concurrently and assume the responsibility for the appropriate technical and architectural implementation of projects.
Self-motivated who takes initiative and works well in a team environment with the ability to meet deadlines.

Experience
Bachelor?s degree in a related IT field
Experience with design and hosting of client/server architecture as well as ASP.NET, J2EE, and other web based application architectures
Experience with Perl, .Net, XML, and Unix shell and Windows scripting
Extensive experience with IIS, Apache/Tomcat
Experience with Nagios
Prior experience interfacing with executive level management, creating and giving senior level presentations
