Solution Architect Narus

As a Solution Architect at Narus you will provide technical leadership and solution authority over a variety of IP Traffic Intelligence solutions based on the NarusInsight Platform. You will apply your broad range of skills and experience to capture customer requirements and use cases, develop high impact solution architectures and drive the solution deployment to customer acceptance.Your extensive experience in IP networking and protocols, telecommunications, large software applications, Linux systems, and network troubleshooting, combined with outstanding verbal, written and presentations skills will allow you to excel in this challenging but rewarding multifaceted position.
You will interact directly with customers and internally work with product managers, project managers, development engineers and others.
Responsibilities:
? Perform Sales Engineer duties to capture customer solution requirements, use cases and workflow scenarios
? Deliver technical architecture presentations and technical solutions according to customer requirements and product specifications
? Perform hands on design work to prove NARUS product capabilities to customers during the evaluation (Proof of Concept) process
? Develop technical solution designs including solution components, features, functions, sizing, performance and restrictions
? Create solution specific Acceptance Test Plans and Best Practices documents
? Provide knowledge transfer and consulting to customers to ensure proper operation usage and efficiency
? Own the technical solution from conception through deployment
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
? Technical Skills
o Expert level knowledge of WAN/ LAN network topologies, equipment & configuration
o Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP and protocols including BGP and MPLS
o Proficient in network monitoring, packet capture and protocol analysis
o Proficient in operation and usage of network management & related systems
o Experience with network security, attacks, exploits and mitigation
o Hands-on knowledge in Linux and Windows installation and configuration
o Solid understanding of enterprise database products (Oracle, DB/2, MySQL)
o Solid understanding of distributed/web based application architectures and techniques
o Experience with system integration and interfaces including XML, CORBA or similar
? Business Skills
o Grasp and present the Narus vision, technical solutions and value propositions
o Display strong communication (verbal & written), presentation, organizational and interpersonal skills
o Strong customer service skills; frequent strategic interactions with high level clients
o Develop positive customer relationships while deriving customer business requirements and delivering winning solutions
Education and Work Requirements:
? BA/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
? 5+ years (includes development, design and solution architecture) with 2+ years in presales
? Up to 40% travel (primarily domestic in India, some international possible)
? Ability to acquire U.S Visa
