Travel 50-75%, 1 opening on the East Coast and one on the West Coastof the US.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Sales Engineers are the primary technical resource for the field sales force. Sales Engineers are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Leading technical requirements gathering sessions and writing technical requirements documents.
Estimating projects using industry standard techniques.
Establish a model and process where man hour estimation for a project can be automated to some extent.
Leading technical design sessions and writing technical design documents.
Managing technical scope and client expectation.
Excellent Customer focus and interaction skills.
End to end Pre-sales activities including RFP creation for clients.
Responsible for providing hands on expert level assistance to developers for technical issues.
Designing and managing the execution of test plans and ensuring a quality solution is delivered.
Demonstrating technical leadership.
Oversee development, design, UI and technology integration efforts.
Grow and mentor a team of engineers.
Drive technology best practices within the company
B.E in Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience.
Client-focused attitude. A customer advocate.
Excellent analysis skills and the ability to develop processes and methodologies.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.
Must have a strong background in design/development of large internet or client server systems or complete software product lifecycle exposure.
Good knowledge of OOAD, database designing and SDLC.
Working knowledge of salesforce.com configuration, platform and applications is highly desirable.
Previous experience in implementing technologies like: VB.NT, C#, ASP, ASP.NET, XML, XSL, Web services and SOAP, SQL server, Oracle. Enterprise architectures (.NET) is critical.
Exposure to ADSI, MS commerce server, MS Biztalk server is highly desirable.
Past work experience at a leading professional services firm with exposure to US work culture and distributed project delivery (US, India, Europe).
Self motivated, punctual and a natural leader that flourishes in small environments
6+ years of experience managing external client projects in positions of increasing responsibility in the delivery of business consulting, systems development, and systems.
Commitment to stay current with relevant new learning. Active participant in company sponsored learning events
Will uphold the highest of business ethics and personal integrity
The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
