Job Description :

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to support the Sales Team with pre and post sales efforts. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; attending customer meetings in person as well as via audio and/or video conference. Gathering customer requirements, providing comprehensive technical solutions and proposals that include conceptual design drawings, bill of materials, integration services/labor pricing and scope of work/technical response plan for complex audiovisual, videoconference, digital media, broadcast systems and related network infrastructure. The Field Solutions Architect will support the Sales team using his/her technical expertise to increase business to the company.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to the sales team in a comprehensive, thorough, detailed and time sensitive manner
Intensive interface with clients and job sites to document customer requirements and job site conditions
Provide and document customer design based on the client requirements and job site conditions
Work directly with clients, architects, consultants and staff throughout the design development and delivery process.
Develop Statement of Work for each job based on system design and customer requirements
Develop system design drawings including, but not limited to, audiovisual system diagrams, drawings and sketches
Design/Build and Bid/Build specifications; and operational capabilities narratives, etc
Develop accurate job cost estimates for each job
Provide technical response to the customer RFP/RFQ/RFI
Be capable of working effectively and efficiently with support from other members of the engineering team
Maintain complete and accurate project documentation and records
Communicate effectively with internal staff, client representatives, cooperative trades and subcontractors
Effectively coordinate and manage multiple system design projects
Be responsible for successfully completing assignments on time and within budget
Develop and conform to company technical standards and practices.

Good written and oral communications skills
Proficiency in the use of diagrammatic software tools (such as AutoCAD, Visio, etc.).
Proficiency in the use of computers and general business software (Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Project).
Architectural drafting experience is desirable but not required.
Ability to interact with end-users and internal staff to successfully identify and document specific client requirements.
Correctly interpret multiple formats of technical specifications; schematic drawings and architectural diagrams.
trong working knowledge of audiovisual control systems ? AMX / Crestron / Extron, etc.
Strong working knowledge of networks TCP/IP skills including video over IP, Voice over IP, streaming video, etc. desirable.
Cisco experience is a plus.
Education & Qualifications:
A bachelor?s degree in a technical subject or equivalent and related work experience.
5 plus years as a sales engineer in the Audio Visual or affiliated industry.
InfoComm CTS certification desirable, CTS-D certification highly desirable
Polycom/Tandberg/Cisco Certified Engineer (TCE/CVE/etc.) certifications are a plus.
Willingness to pursue and attend additional training related to performance of job.
Additional Considerations:
Ability of lift and carry heavy objects up to 25 lbs.
Limited after hours/weekend work may be required.
Requires extensive sitting, computer use , standing and walking.
Domestic travel requiring multi-night stays both within and at times outside the local work area is a requirement
International travel may be required.
Valid U.S. driver?s license is a requirement and must have a positive driver?s abstract.
Current valid U.S. Passport is desirable.
Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
Must be willing to apply for security clearances, suitability, and other related clearances to be able to work at certain customer locations
Meet project security clearance requirements.
Participate in technical training and certification testing programs.
Utilize your own vehicle n the performance of your duties.
Ability to work from home office or remotely may be a consideration.
