Solutions Architect - New York Professional Services | New York, NY, United States Marin Software's Professional Services team is responsible for onboarding new customers onto the Marin platform quickly and accurately. The work requires commercial and technical skills in a highly visible phase of Marin's relationship with new customers. Every member of the Professional Services team contributes knowledge and best-practices back to the rest of the organization, helping Marin reinforce its reputation for industry leadership and quality. The Professional Services Solutions Architect plays a key role in ensuring the successful onboarding of a customer onto Marin's leading online marketing management (SaaS) solution. This position combines customer communication skills at a critical step in the sales process with the technology skills necessary to author and implement the onboarding plan. Responsibilities
Understand the customer goals, requirements as well as current and planned marketing operations context, including website architecture, tracking techniques, URL structures, and more
Understand Marin's different integration options. Map to the requirements above to create the integration strategy for that customer
Based on primary customer research, and in keeping with Marin's best practices, work with the Project Manager to author a 'Statement of Work' (SOW) document specific to that customer
Work with other resources with expertise across different disciplines to ensure successful onboardings of multiple customers with varying degrees of complexity and relatively short implementation timelines
Work with Marin sales and the customer directly to prepare for and lead the 'Scoping' call to better understand the customer's integration requirements. This is a key activity near the end of the pre-sales process.
Potentially, serve in a project manager capacity for simple-medium complexity onboarding projects.
Drive the development and documentation of additional SOW snippets to be used in subsequent SOWs.
Develop and unit-test simple scripts or code to implement custom integration work (data conversions/transformations) for specific customers. Perform solution testing as required and verify data accuracy
Initiate and manage cross-departmental communication to resolve any integration-related questions and issues. Report on project progress
Serve as a conduit of integration-related product features to the product team for roadmap consideration
Manage Issues and escalate as needed to the Project Manager, and other groups including Operations, Product Management, Engineering, etc.
Analyze opportunities for product enhancements. Help prioritize and drive those enhancements into the Marin product set via the product team.
Upon successful onboarding, help develop a plan to transition customer to Client Services group for ongoing maintenance and support.
Qualifications
Knowledge of digital marketing especially paid search, search engine optimization, or performance marketing as well as revenue tracking tools such as DART, ATLAS, Google Analytics, Core Metrics, Omniture, etc.
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a quantitative discipline
3+ years experience implementing , web, ERP or CRM projects with knowledge of HTML, XML, PHP, Java/.net, and other web technologies
Experience with SQL querying and relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle.
Demonstrable Excel skills and experience at an advanced technical level
Excellent problem-solving and decision making skills along with strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
Skilled at multi-tasking, can juggle competing priorities while making sound business decisions based on goals and objectives.
Ability to work independently and interfacing with other lines of business, developers and QA.
Ability to break down project phases into technical tasks and sub-tasks to delegate to appropriate development personnel.
Attention to detail; clear, logical thinking
Comfortable working in a fast paced, team environment
Plus Skills
Experience with data conversion/transformation projects
Knowledge of enterprise application development from understanding underlying database design to developing for Marketing and data management systems such as search engine marketing (SEM).
Experience with ETL tools such as Microsoft SSIS, Informatica, etc.
