Sales Solution Architect
Job Description
The Sales Solution Architect (SSA) is responsible for demonstrating the value of the Tangoe CommCare solution to prospects and existing customers. In this role, the SSA supports the sales organization (direct and in-direct) in conveying the value of Tangoe's solution using their detailed knowledge of the product feature set, the telecommunications market and the application of best practices to match the product to the customer's needs. The SSA is responsible for business and technical assessment required to develop a solution that meets the customer requirements. The solution is married with an implementation strategy that will ensure that the customer derives value from the product in both the short and long term.
Position can be based out of our Orange, CT, Parsippany, NJ, or Austin, TX offices.
Responsibilities:
The primary focus of the SSA is to ensure that value proposition of product is communicated to prospects and partners.
- Partnering with Sales Executive team the SSA will provide detailed business process & technical expertise â€" calls, discovery, presentations, demonstration
- Assist in RFI, RFQ and RFP response - identifying gaps/challenges, develop solutions
- POC and Pilot support â€" setup/configuration, data loading, customization
- Setup and configuration of CommCare instances
- Loading and importing prospect data
- Developing scripts and processes to meet client requirements
- Client demonstrations
- Provides support for functional issues â€" How do I?
- Identifies opportunities to derive value from product identifying the need for on-going education, services, features
- Manages/Enrolls Tangoe resources to ensure high level of customer satisfaction
- Ensure consistent communication and management of client needs
- Gathers high level requirements from the customer that define their specific needs and goals for researching a TEM solution
- Engages the client in productive discussions to understand the needs and define the business case
- Gathers information required to develop a solution
- Analyzes customer requirements to identify gaps
- Ensures that the Tangoe Product and solution will meet customer requirements; refines requirements with the customer as needed
- Identifies pain points and directs customer to focus on specific processes or needs for which the Tangoe product can show immediate value with minimal impact
- Understands and translates needs into targeted solution that can be delivered effectively (cost and time) by the Tangoe services organization
- Identifies gaps in the implementation and presents solutions â€" training, need for SME, resource needs, etc.
- Ensure value is derived from the solution â€" short and long term
Skills:
The following are the skill sets required for an SA to achieve success in the role:
- Knowledge of the Expense Management industry including products/services and processes
- Knowledge of the Telecommunications industry including products/services and processes
- Knowledge of enterprise software usage and implementation
- Working knowledge of the Tangoe CommCare Platform
- Strong communications skills; the ability to articulate the value of a products/solutions in a clear manner
- Ability to listen, understand and communicate customers needs verbally and in writing
- Ability to interact with others in a cooperative fashion to build strong rapport based on credibility
- Ability to analyze and understand data and the relationships within the data and how it is used by the business (specifically telecommunication information)

- Identify customer needs and develop effective solutions that meet expectations
- Ensure clear communication of customer expectations throughout the Tangoe organization â€" Executive team, Services, Product and Support
- Address prospects concerns and need head on; recruiting the appropriate resources needed to meet expectations
Educational Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access as tools to manipulate data
- Working skills with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word to develop materials to communicate ideas
- Technical skills related to databases, scripting, SQL, Data transformation tools is beneficial and may be required
