Steelwedge is looking for experienced Presales Consultants that have demonstrated a long and successful track record of selling software solutions to medium & large enterprises by driving and addressing all the functional and technical aspects of the sales cycle.
The Presales Consultant will work closely, and in collaboration, with the Steelwedge Sales Director to gather prospects? business requirements, understanding and quantifying the impact on the business, formulating a compelling value proposition that confirms Steelwedge?s ability to (i) meet the prospect?s requirements (ii) differentiate from competitive solutions and (iii) drive measurable and sizeable business value and ROI.
As our Pre-Sales Consultant based out of your home office located anywhere in the U.S. and traveling 50-70% of your time to client sites. you will be the key technical contact for prospective accounts, primarily providing pre-sales support. We will rely on your well-rounded experience and understanding of the following areas to help effectively position our product to meet customer needs.
This position requires strong prior experience in a Pre-Sales Consultant/Sales Engineering role for enterprise level SaaS solutions including the ability to understand and document prospects' technical and application infrastructure.
Domain expertise in a combination of any of the following areas: Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, Financial Planning, or Business Planning.
Proven success in developing and delivering custom product demonstrations both in person and via web conference,
Strong communication skills with the ability to handle all technical and functional objections that may arise during a sales cycle.
Participate in almost every aspect of the sales process. You will help the Sales Directors qualify opportunities for approrpriate technical fit, access the customer's business needs, and then participate in the presentation of a a solution that meets the customer's requirements. After the initial sale you will continue to work with existing clients to up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
Between 5 and 10 years of enterprise software or Saas pre-sales experience selling complex enterprise wide solutions
Strong business acument and a strong understanding of business applications and processes
Excellent writing, presentation and interpersonal skills
Self-Starter, excellent time-management skills coupled with the ability to prioritize
Bachelor's Business Degree or equivalent, MBA a plus
