Responsibilities:Primary responsibility will be to deliver code assessment services to customers interested in determining compliance to third-party licensing and encryption policies.
Develop a detailed understanding of the capabilities and limitations of the BDS application, architecture, and development tools to properly and creatively use features to meet client needs.
Provide guidance for business decisions from a technical perspective on issues such as: performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
2-3 years of development experience, preferably with C++ or Java.
At least three (3) years experience in a technical business environment with specific focus in software development and/or software implementation.
Ability to travel 25 of the time, including internationally.
Ability to read/review source code and other software objects and make decisions based on understanding the code.
Good oral, written and presentation skills.
Desired Skills:
Experience with software development tools, including IDEs, Code Repositories and Build Tools is a plus.
Familiarity with open source software, third party licensing, open source approval processes and license compliance governance is highly valued and considered a plus.
Experience working with database technologies, client/server architectures, Linux OS, and integration via SOAP APIs is also valued and considered a plus.
Knowledge of software encryption technologies is considered a plus.
Any customer facing experience is considered a plus.
