The Solutions Designer is responsible for:
Leading the process to develop client-specific solutions that drive operational and financial benefits
Managing aggressive design timelines and resources to hit key milestones and deliverables
Gathering and clarifying client business data, leading the analysis thereof and presenting solution recommendations to both Kiva and client executive management
Developing a strong working partnership with key stake-holders and a core design team
Collaborating with clients' organizations and Kiva's solutions analysts, development teams, system performance and implementation organizations to architect optimized Kiva order fulfillment systems
Building quality into both the design process and the resulting design document, which serves as the "blue print" for production implementations
Contributing to requirements definition for the development of models, tools and methods to improve the design process, and leading process improvement initiatives
Understanding and applying knowledge of Kiva software and algorithmic capabilities to create systems that deliver high business value to our clients
Supporting internal customers in improving system performance and diagnosing performance issues, clearly communicating as a critical part of cross-functional teams
Visiting active Kiva sites to prepare for and validate design assumptions
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Operations, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Master's Degree in relevant field, or MBA desired
Confidence to lead project teams developing sophisticated solutions in a matrix organization
Experience generating effective client solutions in a similar, large-scale production environment
Desire to contribute to achieving challenging team goals and building effective processes
Relentless attention to details and a willingness to learn new skills and technologies
Commitment to quality and willingness to go above and beyond to achieve it
Excellent communication skills paired with proven analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills
Technical skills including Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with MySQL and AutoCAD
Dedication and energy to adapt and thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Proven success as both an independent performer and a member of a high-performing team
