IPITEK is a rapidly growing manufacturer of advanced optical fiber transmission products for CATV, broadcast and telecom networks. With over 27 years of solid history, we are expanding our solutions engineering team and are seeking several bright and aggressive Solutions Engineers. The position is based in our Carlsbad, California headquarters, which is located 30 miles north of San Diego. Must be willing to travel.Responsibilities/Functions:
Existing account development and new account identification.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
Provide solutions and designs focusing on customer requirements.
Fully understand customer's network and have the ability to recognize opportunities to implement solutions.
Develop written responses to customer RFP/RFQs and provide pricing quotations to customers.
Develop and deliver technical presentations to diverse customer audience.
Respond to solutions engineering/customer support/application requests.
Required Skills and Attributes:
4-year technical degree (BSEE preferred)
5+ years of progressive experience in network engineering, systems engineering or solutions engineering in the CATV industry.
Knowledge of video communications links, optical transmission systems and CATV/broadcast networks.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Strong relationship-builder with excellent interpersonal skills, consultative selling experience, interest in business development and focus on customer service.
Very application oriented with a strong solution selling desire.
Thrives in small company environment. Effective working both independently and with the sales, marketing and engineering teams. Comfortable in a dynamic environment with multiple deadlines and a variety of roles. Hard-working, flexible, adaptable, and resilient.
