Peak 10 is looking for a technical savvy, hardworking, high-energy, professional who is driven to succeed in a high tech and growing industry sector. As our Solutions Engineer/Consultant you will be responsible for supporting the sales development team in nurturing leads through our pipeline. You will support Peak 10?s growing inbound marketing and sales development program by providing rapid response technical guidance to customers who inquire about Peak 10 products and services. We are looking for a dynamic individual who will work closely with sales development representatives, customers and prospects in providing technical guidance and developing solutions to customer?s problems. Support will include preliminary or initial discovery and definition of customer needs, assisting in initial customer inquiries to help answer technical questions and qualifying prospects in collaboration with the sales development rep for the most appropriate hand off to sales.
You will be a critical resource in providing day to day guidance to prospects who need a higher level of technical dialogue in the initial research and assessment phase of their buying cycle. Your expertise will be utilized in many of our marketing programs to help drive leads. Your success is in your ability to demonstrate Peak 10?s technical capability to prospects and help sales reps close business with new customers in a shorter time frame.
Technical leadership with customers and prospects for pre-sales engineering
Discovery of customers critical business issues and requirements
Assist in solution design to meet customer requirements
Participate in and assist with sales development process and closure (solution selling)
Assist in customer presentations
Respond to technical inquiries via online channels such as micro sites, chat, social media and email.
Coordinate additional support as necessary for sales opportunities
Build strong customer relationships and aid in increased customer satisfaction
Assist in the development of technical thought leadership content to support lead generation activities
Deliver content as a thought leader through scheduled webinars, social media channels, impromptu customer demos, or web-based video to help sales process
Industry awareness ? continually seek industry and market information to provide Peak 10 with the information necessary for successful business development
Provide ongoing training to Peak 10?s sales and marketing organization
Recommend services and pricing improvements with all Peak 10 services
Act as a liaison with local partners to enhance Peak 10?s solution and service delivery
Training/mentoring ? promote the professional growth of the team
Ensure Peak 10 visibility to the local and regional market/community
Others responsibilities as assigned by your manager
Bachelor?s Degree in computer science, business, engineering or related technical field.
Complex I/T Sales Engineering experience with cloud or related technology experience such as VMware, Cisco networking, network security, Microsoft and Linux operating systems, Microsoft application servers, including SQL, Exchange, and SharePoint.
Hands-on experience with relevant technologies including:
Other virtualization technologies
Microsoft Windows Server
Network security solutions
Microsoft application servers including SQL, Exchange, and SharePoint
Networking services such as load balancing, global server load balancing, WAN optimization, QoS
Ability to handle inquiries from the most basic level to C-Level Executives and Engineers
3 years? technical experience in a customer service, IT support or sales support role
Previous consulting or network architecture experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in demand generation and marketing campaign management a plus.
Sales training a plus
Proven propensity to learn new technologies and their application to meet business needs.
Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Email and CRM skills. Familiarity with marketing automation tools (Marketo, Hubspot, etc.) a plus.
Knowledge of interpersonal interaction techniques and an understanding of when to employ different techniques depending on the situation.
Ability to work in a high-energy sales team environment; team player
Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills
Comfort delivering presentations in person or through video
