Together we have 116 retail imaging centers, 128 mobile units and operate in more than thirty states. Our organization will serve nearly a million patients in 2013, offering a wide range of screening, diagnostic and interventional procedures that complement each community?s needs, in collaboration with radiologists, healthcare providers, hospitals and health systems.
We are currently seeking a part-time, three-day per week Sonographer/Radiologic Technologist for our Eden Prairie, MN location.
The Sonographer/Radiologic Technologist is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic and radiographic equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
? Creates a positive experience for every customer, every day by believing in and practicing the CDI Experience
? Produces diagnostic images in assigned area and performs quality control tasks as assigned
? Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations, including breast.
? Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images
? Uses independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings
? Independently initiates additional ultrasound imaging procedures to facilitate optimum diagnostic results (e.g., endovaginal exam, Doppler, etc.)
? Examines sonograms, synthesizes sonographic information and medical history, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician
? Provides interpreting physician with an oral or written summary of technical findings
? Assumes responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients while they are in the sonographer's care
? Demonstrates responsibility and accuracy for electronic data entry and maintenance
? Maintains ultrasound equipment, work area, and adequate supplies
? Participates in continuous quality improvements activities
? Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with internal and external customers
? Keeps supervisor well informed of status of assignments. Responds to requests and leadership of supervisor. Helps supervisor gain support for unit goals and plans.
? Assists in ACR accreditation process
? Practice low dose radiation processes such as ALARM, coning, and patient shielding
? Performs other work-related duties as assigned

? Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
? Knowledge of current technical skills and procedural understanding to perform a full range of radiologic scanning procedures and injections
? Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols
? Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
? Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is required
? Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is desirable.
? Active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in the specialty(ies) as appropriate
? Advanced registry in Vascular, Abdomen, OB, and Breast imaging desirable
? ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
? Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
? Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
? Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform radiographic procedures independently
