Sourcing Lead-Capital Expenditures (CapEx) ICG Commerce
Job Description :
ICG Commerce is seeking a Capital Equipment Strategic Procurement Lead to provide full, life cycle procurement support of business driven projects in Manufacturing Equipment and Construction Services for Fortune 500 companies. In this capacity, you will be based in ICG Commerce?s King of Prussia office, and will develop and execute strategic sourcing projects that support our client?s business goals while achieving optimal pricing, quality and service levels. Specifically, you will:
Partner with numerous Fortune 500 clients and suppliers to identify and drive cost improvement opportunities utilizing deep subject matter expertise in three or more of the following category areas:
Capital Equipment:Process Equipment, Production/Manufacturing Equipment, Automation & Robotics, Packaging Equipment, Molds Dies & Tooling, Electrical and Mechanical Equipment, other Auxiliary Equipment
Capital Equipment and Engineering Services Procurement in the Food and Beverage Industry:Process Equipment, Packaging Equipment, Turnkey Bakery/Food Production Lines including but not limited to Industrial Freezers, Form-Fill-Seal Machines, Baggers, Ovens, Cartoners, Heat Sealers, Case Packers/Palletizers, Wrappers, Check Weighers, Vision Systems, Filler, Cappers, Engineering Services firms related to the Food and Beverage industry etc.
Engineering & Construction Services: Industrial and Commercial Building Construction, Architectural Design, Engineering Design, Roofing, Engineering Services incl. EPC/EPCM contracts, Environmental and Safety Services etc.
Lead and execute individual capital acquisition projects ($500K+ in size) including sourcing strategy development, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, business case presentations and supplier contract execution
Help our customers manage their capital expenditure by implementing best in class spend management practices for the specific categories listed above.
Be responsible for creating RFQs, detailed TCO analysis and negotiating purchases and contracts for high value/visibility capital goods and services on behalf of ICG Commerce customers while delegating and managing multiple sourcing streams
Communicate frequently and professionally with customer stakeholders (Engineering/Procurement) and internal stakeholders (PMO team and Category Leads) to ensure all regional goals and objectives across the client portfolio is met and/or exceeded
Perform supplier research and identification and perform comprehensive TCO analysis and lead the supplier contracting and negotiation process
Mentor Sourcing Associates on effective communication skills, negotiation strategies, and delivery excellence, to promote career development
Job Requirements :
5+ years (or 3+ years with a Masters Degree) of Capital Expenditure sourcing/vendor selection and management experience generated through work with one or more of the following:
o Major consulting firm delivering Strategic-sourcing services with a Capital Equipment focus.
o Major EPC/EPCM firm leading strategic sourcing initiatives for Capital Equipment and/or Construction Services
o Procurement division of a Fortune 500 company, responsible for managing technical and capital expenditure acquisitions
Experience leading and managing capital acquisition cycles of over at least $20 MM per year
Experience working with Engineering teams, aligning technical requirements with commercial terms and conditions and leading RFP processes, negotiations and contract execution
Hands-on knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies and/or category management processes within Fortune 500 organizations pertaining to end-to-end capital acquisitions. Ability to formulate and implement key strategies for best-in-class spend management including global sourcing, supplier/market economics, TCO management etc.
The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem solving skills
Super strong work-ethic, communication skills, multi-tasking abilities and innovative thinking with unerring focus on challenging and improving the status-quo
Proven track record for cultivating strong relationships with key client and supplier stakeholders that have resulted in high customer satisfaction along with solid experience in change management - building and fostering successful relationships in challenging situations
Strong analytical skills including the ability to distill, synthesize, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data. Technical skills include hands-on experience with Excel and PowerPoint in addition to engineering/manufacturing processes knowledge.
A degree in Engineering. Masters preferred.
