Soraa is an innovative LED company founded by Shuji Nakamura, inventor of the blue LED for Nichia. We are a large, well-funded Silicon Valley, CA startup, backed by Khosla Ventures and NEA. We are introducing the next generation of high performance LED systems and are looking for select sales staff to ramp sales.
We are looking for a person that can hit the ground running to market and specify our LED products and to assist with project designs with the design community (i.e. architects, interior design groups, developers, lighting design firms, consulting engineers, and design build contractor accounts). Position can be home-based, 50% travel required. This position has excellent starting salary and incentive program.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Perform sales calls on architects, engineers, designers and end users, as necessary.
Manage existing relationships as well as develop new relationships.
Develop account profiles and work with managers to strategize how to sell the account.
Operate as a team member with the sales team to define and achieve sales goals.
Experience and Skills:
Minimum 5 years experience in lighting industry calling on and closing specifications with the design community (Prior electrical engineering, fixture design engineering or manufacturer sales management experience will be considered)
Effective communication and presentation skills
Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, and Powerpoint)
Perform lighting calculations using supplied lighting software preferred
LED experience is a plus, but not a requirement
Bachelors degree preferred
