Position: Sport Psychology Consultant (SPC) NFLPA/Elite

NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Lifecycle Program Overview:
Athletes? Performance has partnered with the NFLPA to implement and execute the Lifecycle program. This program is designed to facilitate an effective career transition for former players, whether they are recently retired or well into their post-NFL life. Athletes? Performance takes a holistic approach to athlete development and the program will focus on the needs of the ?whole player.? It will emphasize the physical, emotional and mental well-being revolving around specific in-person and digital strategies in the area of mindset, movement, nutrition and recovery. The principle goal is to measurably enhance the health and wellness of athletes after they play professional football.
There are four pillars to the Athletes? Performance Mindset program: Performance Mindset Integration, Axon Assessment, Mindset Consultation & Training. This position will work with elite, collegiate and high school athletes, as well as elite military operators, to increase individual performance, recover from injury, and educate the various populations. A high level of comfort conducting group sessions on Mindset topics (e.g. goal setting, relaxation, etc.) as well as developing both group and individual mental conditioning programs will be a key factor in this position?s success.
NFL or NCAA College Football Experience
Masters Degree in any of the following areas: Human Performance, Exercise and Sport Sciences with an emphasis in Sport Psychology, Neuropsychology, Sport Psychology and/or Education (other degrees will be reviewed on a case by case basis).
Knowledge of video production/editing desired (but not necessarily required)
Ability to relocate in a timely manner
Knowledge of Clinical Neuropsychology, with experience in rehabilitation of both brain and spine and associated organs;
Knowledge of the neuropsychometry of sports science, performance psychology of elite athletes, neuro- and psycho-pharmacology, biofeedback, neurofeedback, and career transitions in elite sports.
Direct involvement with NFL or NCAA BCS Level Programs
understanding of online and hard copy publishing and user experience;
